Patch Party - Block of the Month Quilt Pattern

Patch Party - Block of the Month Quilt Pattern 99596From Leila Gardunia DesignFB021021 CollectionIn Pattern Series: Block of MonthDESCRIPTIONQuilt Size: 60? x 72?Patch Party is a 6 or 12-month Block of the Month program. This block of the month program is extremely versatile and has been thoroughly tested and professionally edited. The pattern is printed in color and each block has its own page of instructions, so the pattern is easy to distribute month by month. To run it as a 6-month program, simply hand out two sets of block instructions each month. This can be done at the same time, or you could have customers come in twice during the month. The instructions are labeled as Blocks 1-11, so the program can be started at any time during the year and completed at any speed. Most months participants will make two copies of the block, two months they will make four blocks, and one month they will make the jumbo center block. No new blocks are made the twelfth month and setting instructions are provided.Patch Party is a beginner friendly quilt. Quilters will learn and use basic skills like making 4-patch units, half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, flying geese, and square-in-a-square units. It is a great way to expose quilters to basic piecing techniques. In this quilt, traditional quilt blocks are given a modern update through the use of solids and tone-on-tone prints. The quilt is made with Michael Miller Cotton Couture solids (SC5333) and Fairy Frost prints (CM376) and it is a perfect way to build and use your stock of basics. Because you are using Michael Miller Basics, you don?t have to plan the BOM around when a specific fabric collection will be in stock. Start whenever you want!Ordering the necessary fabrics is easy, using the fabric ordering guide found on the designer?s website. It contains the fabric requirements for 1, 10, 20, 30, and 40 quilt kits, including the fabric SKUs. (https://www.leilagardunia.com/patch-party-extra-info) Also provided on the website is a month-by-month kit cutting guide. Most months, participants will be given one fat quarter of solid fabric and a fat eight of print. In the pattern materials section the fabric names are given, but in the rest of the piecing instructions, the fabrics are referred to as Solids and Prints. This makes it easy for you to substitute fabrics if needed.Fabric requirements for one quilt are:4 ? yards Bright White solid(1) FQ (18? x 21?) of each of the following:Shell solid (coral pink)Isle solid (turquoise)Tangerine solid (orange)Watermelon solid (red)Clementine solid (red-orange)Berry solid (fuchsia)Yellow solidLime solid (lime green)Green solidCornflower solid (blue)Ink solid (dark navy)Papaya Fairy Frost (orange)(1) F8 (9? x 21?) of each of the following:Opal Fairy Frost (light pink)Aqua Fairy FrostTangerine Fairy Frost (light orange)Primrose Fairy Frost (dark pink)Azalea Fairy Frost (light purple)Butter Fairy Frost (light yellow)Cornflower Fairy Frost (light blue)Celery Fairy Frost (light green)3 ? yard backing of choice? yard Tangerine solid (orange) for bindingPlease note that fat quarters and fat eights cannot be replaced with quarter and eighth yard cuts. The fabric requirements and cutting instructions assume that the customer is given all of the background fabric the first month. Giving customers the background fabric in a large chunk allows for better use of fabric and will cut down on cutting and folding time. Customers will need to save their solid scraps to use in the final quilt block.
